Our Story
A puzzle is a magnificent work of art, built from pieces that fit perfectly together to create something whole and beautiful. This is the same magic that happened when Polly Acioli introduced Paloma Schell to Deborah Koch in 2019. Polly and Paloma had already shared a bond through their collaboration in photography, and Polly knew that Paloma and Deborah's talents would complement each other perfectly. This introduction forged a strong personal connection, inspiring Paloma to leave her renowned newborn photography studio in Brazil to pursue new challenges alongside Deborah. For three years, Paloma and Deborah formed the Koch & Schell Studio, during which Polly collaborated with them on various projects. Today, their team is even stronger as Polly Acioli transitions from a valued collaborator to an official partner in 2024. Polly's expertise and creative vision further enrich the studio's offerings, ensuring that every captured moment is as unique and special as the families they photograph. Together, they bring art, beauty, and grace to their work, creating beautiful memories that last a lifetime. Hey there! My name is Deborah Koch and I am originally from Brazil. However, I have been living in the US for almost two decades now and it feels like home to me. I am a proud wife of an amazing man and a mom of two fantastic kids, who sometimes drive me up the wall but also bring me so much joy and laughter!
I discovered my love for photography when my little ones were growing up too fast and I wanted to capture every single moment of their childhood. So, I bought myself a camera and started clicking away. But soon I realized that taking a good photo was more than just pressing a button, it was an art. That's when I decided to study photography in-depth. I was fascinated by the idea of creating unique memories and capturing moments that people could cherish forever.
Eventually, I turned my passion into a career and started my own business - Deborah Koch Photography. Each client is special and unique to me, and it's an absolute joy to be able to freeze magical moments and turn them into art. Hey there! My name is Paloma, and I'm a photographer who loves capturing beautiful moments. I specialize in newborn photography, and I consider myself very lucky to have had the chance to travel, teach, and speak at over 30 photography conferences around the world.
In 2019, I decided to take a step back from the big conference stage and focus on my clients. As a married mom of three kiddos, family moments and the simple things in life mean a lot to me. Photography lets me be present and involved in my children's lives as they grow, which is an incredible privilege.
These days, I love spending time with my family and creating beautiful memories for other families in my studio.
Paloma Schell
I started my photography career in 2011 working as a photo editor, but working with images on a computer screen seemed too lifeless for me. I wanted to stand behind the lens and create magic, and that's how photography won me over.
I love capturing the best in people: the laughter, the tears, the dreams, and the affection. I'm honored when people allow me to portray the beauty of their soul through the portal of a single glance.
In 2015 I opened my own studio in Brazil. Photographing children has always been what makes my eyes shine. As a mother of 3 children, I know how time flies. I know the immeasurable value of having photos of our children's important moments.
In recent years I moved to the United States and took a break from my career to dedicate myself 100% to my little ones and to improve my photographer's eye. This journey has gifted me with a greater perspective on who I am and what I like to do. Cake smash sessions combine the things I love the most: like all Brazilians, I love a good party, and photography has always been my passion.

Our clients also have exclusive access to over 1600 designer items such as gowns, headbands, tiaras, flower crowns, bonnets, rompers, and props to help you create your perfect look.
